M 35 object information
Messier 35 and NGC 2158 are open star clusters in the constellation Gemini. M 35 was discovered by the Swiss astronomer Jean-Phillippe Loys de Chéseaux in 1745 in his private observatory in Lausanne. The cluster was separately discovered by the English amateur astronomer John Bevis who might be the original discoverer of M 35.
